Vision and Values

Vision:

1. Qualitative -- “Making Disciples”

To see 100% of our body in the process of being conformed to the image of Jesus through:

COMMUNION:  Embracing a deeper intimacy with God by connecting through prayer, worship, the Scriptures, etc..

  • COMMUNITY:  Extending Christ’s love to all our relationships as we are increasingly transformed into His character.

  • COMMISSION:  Engaging the mission of Christ by sacrificially using our Spirit- giftedness, resources, prayers, and time.

2. Quantitative -- “Of All Nations”

To do our part in reaching every man, woman, and child in:

  • COLUMBIA (700,000 people) “Jerusalem”

    • by mobilizing every person within our influence to think and act like a missionary living on purpose through missional communities that exist to               reach EACH man, woman, and child.

    • by partnering with existing churches in our city to research, pray, network, train, and mobilize the one church in Columbia for the task at hand.

    • by planting 7 additional satellite churches and blessing other planters by providing training, coaching, and support.

  • OUR REGION (SC = 4 million people) “Judea”

    • by partnering with existing churches to resource and re-purpose them for the mission of reaching their given geography.

    • by facilitating church planting in the 6 largest metro regions of SC with a goal of planting 80 churches.

  • THE UNITED STATES (306 million people) “Samaria”

    • by envisioning and networking with existing churches, denominations, and organizations for re-evangelizing 306 million Americans.

  • THE WORLD (7+ billion people) “Uttermost”

    • by supporting missionaries that God has called out from our body to go to various regions around the world.

    • by telescoping into defined geographies with a heart to facilitate movement ! and resource indigenous leaders.

Values:

In dependence on the Holy Spirit, we commit to building a body with the following values:

  • Intimacy with God is our first priority. (Everything else flows from our intimacy with Him.)

  • There is only "One Church" in Columbia. (The other churches in this city are our companions, not our competitors.)

  • God uses multiple gifts to lead and equip His body. (Jesus is the head of the church and His vision is our “senior pastor”.)

  • Reaching a city will not happen through addition; it will take multiplication. (We’re committed to the multiplication of disciples, missional                       communities, and churches.)

  • To reach every man, woman, and child in the city; you will need to mobilize every man, woman, and child in the church. (Every member must         take responsibility for the vision God has ! placed in our hearts.)
